1GLOBAL is a global telecommunications company offering eSIM-based connectivity and compliance tools for both B2B and B2C sectors. One of their products, Message+, helps financial organizations securely capture SMS and WhatsApp communications to meet strict regulatory compliance requirements.

My role

  • Led the UX and UI design of a fully compliant messaging solution integrated into Microsoft Teams.
  • Designed features tailored for enterprise-level users, including admin and compliance-focused functionalities.
  • Collaborated with developers and stakeholders in an Agile workflow (2-week sprints).

Challenges

  • Designing within Microsoft Teams' UI/UX guidelines while ensuring seamless support for SMS and WhatsApp message capture.
  • Maintaining a smooth Agile workflow across multiple sprints and overlapping projects.
  • Implementing special features for compliance officers and admins, including access control and exporting tools.
  • Adapting to technical constraints and changing requirements throughout development.

    • Deeply explored Microsoft Teams design patterns and limitations.
    • Analyzed competitors such as WhatsApp and iMessage to identify usability strengths and gaps.
    • Developed UX flows to create a simple yet effective user journey.
